Welcome Danny to HAM Auto

June 2, 2026

Meet Danny — HAM’s Newest Heavy‑Hitter. Everyone, help us welcome Danny, the newest member of the HAM Auto Repair crew and the man who just raised our collective IQ by at least 40 horsepower.
Danny rolled up from Savannah with 35 years of experience, a Master Technician title, and the kind of calm confidence you only get from fixing things other people gave up on.
If it has wheels, wires, or makes a noise it shouldn’t, Danny has probably repaired it, rebuilt it, or stared at it until it behaved out of fear.
Beaufort, you just got lucky.
Savannah’s loss is our gain — and your car’s new best friend.
Drop a welcome below and let Danny know we’re glad he crossed the bridge to join the HAM family. And if your vehicle has been acting like it needs therapy… Danny’s here now. You’re in good hands.

We finally got all of the parts in for this Rad 1959 Chevrolet Apache

May 18, 2026

We rebuilt the front suspension & steering with all new O'Reilly's Auto Parts tire rods, Borgeson gearbox. We serviced the 4L80 transmission and replaced the leaking rear main seal. Next, we replaced the rear nonadjustable coil overs with a set of QA1 adjustable coil overs thanks to The Mullis Camp. Beforehand the truck was bottoming out while driving down the road. Now she has that old-school stance racked to the front just slightly.
Location: Beaufort, SC
Inspection: We found that the exhaust mufflers were not secured to keep them from banging around. Secured them with the hangers that were in place. Onto the loose battery cables. With the use of a hamms beer cooler & a ICT Billet LLC battery tray. We relocated the battery from under the cab to the bed of the truck. Making it easy access to replace or jump start. As well as securing the wiring inside of the frame rail.
